About Shimla

The capital of Himachal Pradesh lies in the northwest Himalayas. Shimla is robed in lush green woods of oak and pine, fur and rhododendron, spreads across 12km. It is an appropriate site for diversity of adventure sports such as Skiing, Trekking, Fishing and golfing.

Shimla derives its name from goddess 'Shayamla Devi', which is another manifestation of Goddess Kali. It was the summer capital of British Regime in 1864. In 1903 a rail line was constructed between Kalka and Shimla. The Colonial patrimony can be perceived in its colossal aged buildings, the imperial Viceregal Lodge, bewitching iron lampposts and Anglo-Saxon names. Shimla also called the queen of hills is embellished with a picturesque location, orchards, waterfalls, green pastures and snow-capped peaks.

Chadwick Fall

Christ Church And St Michael'S Cathedral
